Mr. B and I headed up to Steamboat Springs on Friday night for my company’s second annual ski trip. I am very fortunate to work with Mark (my boss) and Brian, who are the most gracious and fun loving people. It makes work way more fun!
Friday night we had dinner with all of us and our spouses at a restaurant called Bistro C.V. in downtown Steamboat Springs. The food was out of this world. Definitely got some ideas for my Foodie Fridays posts.
We all stayed at the Sheraton in the village. Mr. B and I have actually stayed here before two summers ago during 4th of July weekend.  The hotel is a ski in and ski out which was great for our little group.
After a big breakfast, Mark, Brian, Mr. B and I set out to shred up the mountain. If you have never skied Steamboat, I highly recommend it. This mountain is not steep but has so many fun rollers, trees, and champagne powder (which is what they are famous for).
The day was perfect for skiing. About 30 degrees, party cloudy, and a fresh dusting of snow from the night before. We were all having a blast!

We were all saying that we have never seen snow on trees like this before. It seriously looked like someone took flocked trees from a movie set and placed them on the mountain.
When we were done skiing, of course you have to apres ski, so we headed over to the Tugboat before we all headed back. Ever since Mr. B and I have been coming to Steamboat all the locals and yelp rave about this place. So, I was pumped!
The Tugboat was everything I expected….a hole in the wall, a great happy hour, and friendly people. I may move to Steamboat and work here. This could be my new happy place.
We ordered sliders, beers, chips and salsa…it was all delish after a day of skiing.
Mr. B basically had to drag me out of this place kicking and screaming because I did not want to leave. Getting in the car and driving to our room in Avon sounded awful.
Tispy Lauren + A Long Car ride = CRANKY!
We hit the road. I was sad but Mr. B reminded me that we would be back in a couple of weeks with his family so I guess it was okay we were leaving.
I heart you Steamboat!
