What a beautiful day for a stroll!

I convinced Mr. B to go outside and take in some fresh air. As soon as we stepped outdoors he turned to me and said, “This feels good.” Nothing like some vitamin D to make you feel better. I also noticed that Denver’s bicycle share program is up and running. And you know what that means? Spring is here! Well, at least I think so.
We moseyed our way down the 16th street mall and stared at all the crazies.
We ended up going to Barnes and Noble so Mr. B could use a gift card. He checked out the history section while I ventured over to the food aisle. My new favorite cookbook right now is by chef John Besh. He is big in New Orleans and Cajun food is something that completely intrigues me. I didn’t end up buying the book but I did flip through the pages along with Pioneer Woman’s new book, Black Heels to Tractor Wheels.
After a quick pit stop to our apartment to make sure K-State was in the big dance, we decided to continue our walk in the park.
I forget how much fun it is to run around in the park. It really does bring out the nerd kid in me:) We didn’t stay out to long because we were getting hungry. So we decided to head back in and dig into leftovers.
Dinner was easy. I was feeling something light so I threw together a quick salad. Mixed greens, cucumbers, red onion, avocado, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Bottled dressings are so 1998 people.
I also reheated some of Pioneer Woman’s tortilla soup. It tasted even better!
Go figure that I would wash my healthy dinner down with a smooth pale ale from Twisted Pine Brewing company and chocolate chips. Hey, no one is perfect.
Off to watch our new favorite show, Shameless on Showtime. If you haven’t heard of this new series check it out. It’s laugh out loud hysterical!
Hope you had a good weekend!
