Well, this afternoon didn’t go exactly according to plan. Meh. What can you do?

I picked up the dry cleaning and went to the grocery store while Mr. B finished up some work stuff. On Monday he is leaving for two weeks:( Tear. I am not quite sure what I am going to do…will you come and visit? PLEEEAAASSSEEE?!

Anyways, we remained in a staring match with our dresser from Target. This morning we were all jazzed to put the thing together but then as the day progressed it just didn’t seem as sexy. So we are putting it off until tomorrow, I hope.

After we decided not to put together the dresser, we thought we should continue to pretty up our balcony. We have lived in our loft for four years and these past two weeks is the most I have ever spent on the darn balcony.

Well, better late then never.

We cleaned. Gross!  Cobwebs and dirt.

Mr. B hung lights around the rail which I am super pumped about!!!

After that we fired up the grill and got to work on dinner.

Tonight’s Menu:
 – Steaks
– Grilled Corn on the Cob with Emeril Essence
– Salad with Grape Tomatoes, Shallots, Cucumbers, Avocado and Dijon Vinaigrette

The corn on the cob may be my new go to side dish. All you have to do is layout some foil, rub butter and Emeril Essence on the corn. Wrap tightly, place on grill at 350 for 30 minutes, turn once and viola, delicious grilled corn!

I do need to tell you that dinner didn’t go exactly to plan. The grill got up to 400 degrees so I asked Mr. B how to turn the heat down (mind you this a new grill and I don’t know how to work the darn thing yet) he said to turn the knob to the left. Apparently, I turned it to the right increasing the heat to 550. I guess today is opposite day!

Even though dinner took a little longer then expected, it turned out to be pretty darn tasty if you ask me.

I think we are settling in to watch the King’s Speech. I know, it’s been out forever but we are slow when it comes to watching movies.

Have a great night!
