You say Mali, I say Bu. Mali, Bu. Mali, Bu.

Our third and final full day in California was spent up north in Malibu.

Before we headed up north, Justin and Lindsey made brunch for our gaggle. Seriously, they are hands down the best hosts. They whipped up eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, fruit (from Lindsey’s local CSA) and a bloody bar.

Love, love, love.

I made myself a festive burrito with eggs, cheese, and avocado. Delish.
Once we digested brunch and changed clothes, we were off! The Springer’s recommended a hiking trail called Solstice Canyon Trail.
The trail was located in Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It was a perfect day for a hike given yesterday’s booze fest. Damn you, Jimmy Buffet.
Hi, ho, it’s off to work we go.
After about 1/2 mile we stumbled upon a waterfall. Lindsey said this was the first time she has ever seen water here. Apparently L.A. got a lot of rain last week. Thank you rain Gods.
We played around and did some major photo shoots. We had to fight over prime real estate in front of the waterfall because this trail was bumping with all sorts of folks.
After our hike we headed to the beach for some refreshments. We landed at Paradise Cove for Happy Hour. Buckets of beer and seafood, I could get used to doing this everyday. I seriously wished they would have handed out eye-patches. Don’t they know that pirates are all the rage?

Malibu was gorgeous. We even drove by Pepperdine University which is right on the coast. I have no idea how you could even study when you wake up to a view like that every morning.
We waved goodbye to Malibu and headed back to L.A. to freshen up for our last night in town.
The men got ‘prettied up’ and went to the W hotel for drinks and god knows what else.
While the boys played, Listy, Lindsey, Chance and I headed down the street to a great Italian restaurant called Pace.
They had the best tasting mussels! God, I can still taste the little suckers. We shared a bottle of bubbly to toast to the weekend and just enjoyed each others company. It was the perfect way to end our trip.
Mr. B and I had an absolute blast in L.A. We can’t thank the Springer’s enough for hosting our huge crowd for the entire weekend and cant wait to get back for some more fun in the sun.
Here’s to another EPIC weekend!
