“Send me some lovin”….

Nothing like the smooth and soulful voice of Sam Cooke to get my head on straight.

Today was b.a.n.a.n.a.s. BANANAS!

Re-entry is tough.

Work was just as I expected: a gazillion emails, phone calls, clean up on aisle 10, and a list of non-completed tasks that have been growing like algae on my desk.

How is it that in one week things can get so out of hand? Are people really that helpless? Does anyone else have this problem?

I managed to keep things under control, but I have a lot to do this week. When I arrived home I got straight to work on unpacking. Man, we packed a ton of crap. I even did laundry while we were gone and I still had a ton to do.

Since we hadn’t been home in a week our apartment needed a little work. How is it that stuff can get dirty even if you don’t use it?

I discovered Meyer’s Cleaner over winter this year and fell in love with their hand soap. I spotted their counter top spray at the store yesterday and thought I would give it a try.

It’s fantastic. Our apartment now smells like lemons and the spray doesn’t leave a waxy finish like most cleaners. I think I may have a new friend.

Mr. B and I were going to try and walk this evening, but more rain.

Dinner tonight was quick.

I boiled some whole wheat pasta, sauteed a pound of ground turkey, and baked asparagus at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Once everything was cooked, I combined it with lemon juice, lemon zest, basil, arugula and olive oil. That my friends is a fresh dinner in less then twenty minutes.

I feel much better about the world now that I have nested.

I hope you had a great Monday!
