Whenever Bret and I land in Wichita, we always hit the ground running. There are a lot of moving parts when you head home. Between keeping up with family events, running errands, seeing old friends, and trying to fit a run into your schedule…it is enough to keep you on your toes.

I was lucky to break away for lunch on Friday to meet up with Erica and Heather for a quick bite. It was so great to see both of them and eat at Caffe Moderne. If you have not eaten there, go now! The food was fantastic and the restaurant is in a great spot downtown by the Warren Theater. I was told the gelato is to die for but didn’t know that until after I left the restaurant:( Oh well, definitely next time.

After lunch included more errands but not without a pit stop to the mall! Jessica, Susie, Andrea, Ella and I managed to breeze through the mall in record time. We were on Ms. Ella Rose’s time. Just before we started to head out, we stumbled upon the biggest jewelry find (well, to me it was) ever at Dillard’s!! I am usually not a big fan of jewelry but I was like a kid in a candy store. It was all sparkly and we just couldn’t resist!

The day ended with a family dinner of cheese and chicken enchiladas! YUM-O! It was great to spend time with the whole family, especially Gabe, Grayson, and Ella….I just love my little niece and nephews!
