My apologies on the late birthday party recap. Sunday was busy, busy and we didn’t arrive back in Denver until late. Trying to squeeze in lunches, dinners, track meets, shopping in two days is not an easy task. Mr. B and I had a blast and it was good to be back and see everyone.

First, let me just say that the whole evening went off without a single glitch. Rarely does that happen, especially in our huge family.

My Uncle Chuck and his girlfriend, Toni, hosted the gaggle of Wurth’s at their home in Brookside to celebrate my Grandpa Chuck’s 80th birthday.

I can’t even begin to explain how blessed I am to have such a loving and supportive family, and it all started with my grandparents, Chuck and Mary. They are amazing and truly remarkable people.

Back in February, when my grandpa actually turned eighty, he fell and hurt himself thus the reason for the neck brace. We were all thankful that he was okay. I couldn’t imagine life without this man. As they say, “They just don’t make them like they used too.” He has an infectious laugh and his stories will make you laugh so hard your stomach will hurt. He is someone to be admired and celebrated.
Everyone arrived at Toni and Chuck’s around 6pm and started with cocktails and appetizers.
Mr. B and I mingled up a storm.

Then it was time to hit the buffet. There was a delicious spread of roast beef sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, twice baked potatoes, chicken skewers, and much, much more!
I sampled a little bit of everything but my favorite was the shrimp. Delish.
After we were done eating, it was cake time!
I love cake! I actually really just love the frosting….hehe.

A quick intermission of musical entertainment provided by my brother, Jordan, it was time for presents.  I bet you can’t guess what he played?
My grandpa received some great stuff. Mr. B and I gave him a black pearl snap shirt from a historic western store down the street from us called Rock Mount Ranch Wear. My grandfather is a fan of Johnny Cash so we thought it would be the perfect gift to get him a shirt that is from the store that invented the pearl snap shirt.
The night ended with a quick photo shoot and then the youngin’s went out to a bar in Waldo for additional shenanigans.

Cheers to a wonderful evening, family, food, and especially to my grandpa Chuck.
Love to you all!
