Happy Saturday!

How was your day?

Fantastic?

Hot?

Same ol’, same ol’?

We checked a HUGE item off our to-do list today. But first, breakfast.

Mr. B and I had sushi last night at this really cute restaurant in Lo-Hi (a trendy little neighborhood north of us) and devoured some delicious sashimi.  Usually when I eat sushi the night before, I always wake up starving but today I didn’t. Hmmm.

I fed Mr. B the usual, but I went with something lighter.

Eggs, yogurt with strawberries and coffee.

I have been obsessed with these yogurts from Whole Foods (oh yes, I am nerd for being excited about yogurt). They are low in calorie and high in protein. Plus, they have a zillions flavors.
After breakfast, we got to work.
Mission: put the new Jeep cover on.
Weather: hot with the potential of rain.
Steps to complete: @%* load.
# of person’s who know what they’re doing: one

I am not going to lie, my anxiety was at an all time high when we started this little project. Doing this kind of stuff is waaaaaay out of my comfort zone. This is probably why I am not an engineer because I could definitely fit a square peg in a round whole without knowing it.
Mr. B read the directions and took the old top off while I cleaned. Ah cleaning, something that I know how to do!
I would say that I am a good little helper but sometimes I get very spacey and don’t pay attention. This is a bad thing when you need to hand someone a screw or hold a bar straight. Sorry babe.
Mr. B powered through and put this top together like it was his job!
Of course we hydrated.
(Yes, I am taking a picture of myself as my husband stares me down. One minute, it’s for the blog!)
We were almost done putting this thing together when here comes the Nazi manager of the parking lot. See, this lot is right next to our building and is never busy. We needed room so we pulled into one of the spots and didn’t pay the whopping $7 to park the Jeep.
He threw a fit and told us we were stealing from him blah, blah. Mr. B was like how about just a little courtesy since we live in the building next door. Needless to say he was a huge penis and we ended up having to pay.
Once we were done (about 10 minutes after Mr. Happy showed up), we headed back up to our loft to hydrate and figure out dinner.
Pretty new jeep top…
I think I drank at least a liter of water upon return. It was 95 today!
The last thing I wanted to do was cook so I reverted to an old family tradition, pizza! Growing up my family would always order Pizza Hut pizza on Saturday night. Did you know that was how my parents met? Yep. They both worked at Pizza Hut in Wichita. See, pizza brings people together.
Case in point. Since Mr. B is leaving town on Monday we decided pizza was perfect for our make shift date night.
Dinner, in order of importance.
My favorite, Dale’s Pale Ale.
Pizza from the Wazee Supper Club. I swear we keep this place in business.

A fresh salad of arugula, romaine, shallots, cucumber, avocado and the best salad dressing ever!

To make the dressing mix: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. It’s the best, trust me!
I am watching The Princess Bride as I finish typing this post. God, I love this movie.
“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”
Classic. Do you have a favorite quote from that movie?
Tomorrow is another day of completing our to-do list.
Peace!
