Hi!

How is your Labor Day weekend going?

It’s HOT here in the great city of Wichita, KS. They are on a record breaking fifty-five straight days of one hundred plus degrees! Whew bessie, that’s hot!

Even though the weather was hot and humid, it didn’t stop yesterday from being a beautiful day.

My good friend Heather was married yesterday.

We became best buds when I joined the G-Phi sorority at Kansas State. Heather is one of the most positive and inspirational people I know. She will take your frown and turn it upside down. So seeing her walk down the aisle was a true joy.
The wedding was held at All Saint’s Catholic Church and was actually the same spot that her parent’s had been married. The church was beautiful and very fitting for the bride and groom.
Heather asked my to be her personal attendant for the day and I was absolutely honored. I arrived at the church early to help run errands, finish prepping the bridesmaid, and really to make Heather laugh.
To tell you the truth, Heather was as cool as a cucumber. She has been waiting for this day for a long time and was marrying the perfect gentleman. Even though Tim is an Ohio State fan, I will let it slide because he is madly in love with my friend.

Since the high for the day was going to be one hundred and four degrees, it was hard to keep the church and bride cool. We kept a fan going on Heather to keep her from overheating. We also attempted to keep a small fan under her dress for the ceremony, but a that wasn’t gonna work because it had lights.  BRIGHT lights.
Then it was show time!
Heather was glowing as her dad walked her down the aisle.
The ceremony was hysterical. Although, I’m pretty sure the priest just got off the Def Jam Comedy tour last night because he was definitely laying on the jokes pretty thick. Only Heather could make that situation work.
But alas, they announced the bride and groom. YAY! Congrats Heather and Tim!
After the ceremony, a bunch of us headed downtown to River City Brewery because the reception didn’t start until 5pm.
We ordered a few beers and shared some appetizers. And…caught up on college football.
GO STATE!

Two hours later and we were off to the Scottish Rite Center for the reception.
This place was gorgeous! Check out that staircase.
Heather and Tim left no detail untouched. Absolutely beautiful.
My favorite part was the photo booth! OMG. I want one of these things for our house!

The reception was seriously a blast!
I caught up with old friends and danced the night away.

Congrats once again to Heather and Tim!
Truly an amazing day.
Much love to both of you, and we wish you a long and healthy marriage!
Cheers!
