Loaded Cheeseburger Hot Dogs are a festive and delicious meal to serve all summer long!

Hot diggity-dog.

Can you feel it?

The heat that is. Holy schweddy balls is it hot outside. I can’t remember the last time it’s been above 100 degrees consistently here in Denver. I am thankful it’s not 100% humidity to go along with the piercing sun, but can we just stick to the 80’s pa-lease?

And while I am whining for a hawt second, how in the barrel full of monkeys is it July already? Memorial weekend feels like it was six months ago. Now that we are in July mode we have four seconds to get ready for the fourth. Are you ready? I’m not ready whatsoever. Also, is it not the most depressing thing ever to have a holiday fall on a Wednesday. #bummerdude

Okay, moving on from hot weather and hump day holidays to something that will cheer us all up, Loaded Cheeseburger Hot Dogs. The title says it all. A cheeseburger infused hot dog. Grilling hamburgers and hot dogs over the Fourth of July has always been an American tradition until yours truly thought why not combine those two iconic cuisines? Genius.

All you have to do is grill a plain wiener (I really just wanted an excuse to say wiener. There I said it. Wiener). Then top the hot dog with sauteed ground hamburger, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickle and for good measure, a decadent cheddar cheese sauce. OMG. If these Loaded Cheeseburger Hot Dogs don’t tickle Betsy Ross’ fancy I don’t know what will.

Maybe George Washington’s schweddy balls? I kid. Maybe.
