Ginger Curry Poutine
Ginger Curry Poutine is a great side to serve as an appetizer, side, or dinner! Crispy, homemade fries covered in a ginger-curry gravy, topped with cheese curds and fresh chives!
Monday calls for carbs smothered in gravy.
Don’t you think?
If not, this post will explode in 3, 2, 1………..
I’m KIDDING. Maybe. Aren’t crispy french fries, ginger curry gravy, and cheese curds in the “Case-of-Emergency-I-want-punch-a-Puppy” Monday survival box? I feel like firefighters have it all wrong.
So, whether you are busting down the front door Koolaid dude style because that bitch of a snooze button got you again. Or, if you are dropping the kiddos off at daycare camp, your Monday sanctuary should come on a giant platter. With that, I offer you: Ginger Curry Poutine. If there was ever a Poutine not to miss this would be it.
Not to toot my own horn (toot, toot…shite, sorry), but I make some killer homemade frites. My french fry recipe is not to be skimmed over because it’s the base of this WHOLE poutine. Mmmmmmmmmmkkkay? Once you have the crispy, perfectly salted fries ready to go, pour the ginger curry gravy all over the time. You have my permission to do it ultra commercial slow for a more dramatic feel.
Top the gravy with cheese curds and garnish with fresh chives. Immediately shove into mouth and tell Monday to take a hike. And if anyone ask for a bite, tell them, this post will self-destruct in 3, 2, 1…..

Ginger Curry Poutine
Ingredients:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, whisking for about a minute to create a roux. Next pour in the chicken stock and continue whisk, stirring to make sure the gravy doesn’t clump. Continue stirring until thickened about five minutes. Add the curry powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Remove saucepan from heat. Place homemade french fries on a serving plate. Pour the ginger curry gravy over the french fries. Garnish top with cheese curds and chives. Dive in immediately!!!
It’s all about those cheese curds! Also – I love the ginger addition!
Thanks, Sarah! Ginger is the best, especially in a gravy!
So creative. LOVE cheese curds in just about everything – but especially poutine!
Thanks, Naomi!
OMGGGG This looks to die for! Love the cheese curds!
Thanks so much, Derek!
Ahh geez, poutine is my spirit snack!!!
Dinner all the way!
It says pour the chicken stock in but it says no where else in the recipe about chicken stock… How much I supposed to use?
I was wondering if u meant milk not chicken stock.
